This QuickSearch shows ALTERNATIVE individual non-ad valorem Fire Service Assessments to that sent by US mailed notice last week. This is for informational and comparison purposes.
The following roll can be reviewed by (1) owner name, (2) parcel location address, or (3) tax parcel identification number. This allows for comparison of two assessment methods.
This roll provides similar, but not identical exemptions for homesteads, seniors, veterans.
This roll produces comparable gross revenue than that the City noticed by mail. It does not shift assessed costs disproportionately to business properties and rental units, and lower valued residences. It proportionately charges higher valued residential properties, and it does not use a varying fee per square foot or a per dwelling unit fee or rate structure based upon allocated service calls, rather it uses a proportional algorithm that shares the cost proportionately among all assessable properties based upon underwriting generally the same amount of the City's cost of continual availability of service as the mailed notice based on demand could.
