Later that year, the local Circuit Court approved the validity of the referendum, the method of assessment, and the annual index process approved by the voters. Published notice, as required by law, was published July 5, 2023 concerning the FY 2023-24 Non-ad Valorem Assessment, along with all other required information, in addition to other extraordinary information on the District's website to further inform concerning the Non-Ad Valorem assessment funding and collection process for your District. The District is independent, and will not be imposing any Ad Valorem property taxes; and, does not receive tax revenue from the County. The notice published on July 5, 2023 provided information of the annual public hearing which was set for July 25, 2023 and shared an email address for convenient means to provide individual public comment. A copy of this published notice is also posted on the District's website. All emailed comments were reviewed in this process, and made available to the management and each member of the Board as this annual rate determination process occured immediately after the July 25, 2023 public hearing. No change in community-oriented exemptions from last year is proposed.
